Out On Blue Six: Joe Dolan

Surely one of the most underappreciated ballads of the 1960s. Eat your collective hearts out Tom Jones, Tony Christie and Engelbert Humperdinck, it's Ireland's own Joe Dolan! (Be advised, this has a habit of staying in your head for days!)

  1. Had forgotten about this one but it's all coming back. Good to listen to again unlike some of the more over-familiar '60s hits.

    1. Like you it had travelled to the back of my mind, but it was my utter preoccupation with the Irish police soap opera Red Rock (daytime, BBC1) that brought it rushing back to the fore thanks to me trawling YT and finding one of its cast members making this spoof video

    2. We lived next door but one to his sister in the sixties.

I never saw Dolan, but saw Brendan Shine once or twice.
