Fighting Back : Things to Do
The Tories will be descending on Manchester for their party conference next month and there's plenty of opportunities for protest groups to demonstrate their dissatisfaction with the policies and politics of Cameron and his cronies from the 3rd to the 7th of October.
We have a voice, let's make sure it's heard!
The People's Assembly have planned a week long national action including a national demonstration on Sunday 4th October, assembling at Oxford Road at 12pm. There will be events running across the city all week to prove to the attending Tories that their austerity measures have failed and confirmed participants include what we hope will be the new Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn MP, Frankie Boyle, Charlotte Church, PCS Union leader Mark Serwotka, Union legend Len McCluskey, Francesca Martinez, Julie Hesmondhalgh Jeremy Hardy, Mark Steel and Maxine Peake who announced a call to arms on BBC's Northwest Tonight earlier this week.
CND will be hosting a Scrap Trident event on the 4th October. Meeting at All Saints Park, Oxford Road at 11:30am for the rally at 1pm.
I'm going. Hope to see you there!
