RIP Ruth Rendell

Very sad to hear that crime author Ruth Rendell (aka Barbara Vine) has died aged 85

Rendell's career spanned 50 years and over 60 novels. Her most famous creation being Inspector Wexford, played by George Baker in a series of successful ITV adaptations of the novels. The BBC also adapted several of the novels she wrote under the pen name of Barbara Vine in the 1990s like A Fatal Inversion and Gallowglass, adaptations I really love.
