"I used to do this for fun, back in the day. Mum used to help, bring people back for me. She was just glad I had a hobby. Every boy should have a hobby, she said"
The League of Gentleman star Reece Shearsmith continues his recent run of great work (A Field In England, Inside Number 9 and just this very week the conclusion of The Widower, Jeff Pope's ITV drama about real life wife killer Malcolm Webster) with another deliciously dark and twisted turn, this time as an agoraphobic serial killer - well, of course he does! It's by no means a stretch for Shearsmith, after all he's been playing such pernickity and dangerous parts for so long now, but once again he handles it with aplomb and clear relish that helps to elevate any production.
A promising blackly comic and bloody 11 minute short from writer/director Paul Davis, who is set to reunite with Shearsmith in Silent Night Of The Living Dead, a Christmas set zombie, out movie next year.
Oh and the gag at the end is a rewarding and sly pay off.
