Theme Time : Hall and Oates - Hello Ladies

My midweek pick up is being provided of late by Sky Atlantic's excellent double bill of HBO comedies on Wednesday night; the second season of Veep and Stephen Merchant's sitcom Hello Ladies.

Based on Merchant's brilliant live stand up routines of the same name, Hello Ladies sees him cast as web designer Stuart Pritchard, an Englishman adrift in LA and looking for love in all the wrong places.

The co-creator of The Office, Extras and Life's Too Short displays not only his great comedy acting and writing but also his taste in music and his previous life at XFM. The show's soundtrack is drenched in beautiful 70s and 80s Philly blue eyed soul (as previously blogged here; out-on-blue-six-bill-labounty) with Hall and Oates 'Alone Too Long' setting the standard, providing the theme tune.
